Please Note: Only download and use the GedWriter program if you are a member of the HFA Genealogy Committee. The GedWriter computer program is copyrighted - 2009 by Winfield Harlow and rights for its use is only granted to approved members of the Sgt. William Harlow Family Association Inc. (HFA) Genealogy Committee. 

Step 1: Steps to Install GedWriter for the first time:
a.	Download this zip file  (Version 1.0)
b.	Download the Install Instructions
c.	Read the manual before entering data
When you run the GedWriter program the version number is displayed in the blue title bar at the top of the program window. 

Step 2: Upgrade your version to the latest executable file (Version 1.7)
a.	Download the current executable file (Version 1.7)
b.	Download the newest version of the manual (Version 1.5) *** NEW ***  
c.	Download the current changes document (Version 1.6 to Version 1.7)
You must install the GedWriter program for the first time using the install file (Step 1 above) and then you can upgrade it (Step 2 above) if needed by overlaying the executable file (GedWriter.exe). You must also follow this 2-step procedure if you want to install the GedWriter program on a second or a new computer. When you run the GedWriter program the version number is displayed in the blue title bar at the top of the window.
